Tokyo, Japan —

LIFULL Co., Ltd., operator of the Japanese real estate listing website “LIFULL HOME’S”, and Securitize, the leading global SaaS solution for enabling digital securities (security tokens), have announced the launch of their new digital securities powered crowdfunding platform for Japanese real estate ventures -- the result of a successful collaboration that began in early 2020.

The partnership between LIFULL and Securitize represents a powerful evolution for the global digital securities industry, as the two companies have the knowledge, experience, and financial backing to develop and implement cutting-edge digital securities technology for financial markets.

The new platform will enable issuers to create and manage real estate offerings by combining LIFULL's broad connections to the Japanese real estate industry and experience in blockchain PoCs with Securitize’s proven full-stack compliance technology for digital securities. This will provide issuers with a more affordable, compliant, and easier to use onboarding and management system while offering investors increased transparency and secondary trading options previously unavailable to such investments.

"Our work with Securitize will help expand the adoption of blockchain technology across the real estate crowdfunding industry, and by converting real estate to a digital asset we will be bringing all the convenience that comes with it,” said Tsunahiro Matsuzaka, LIFULL Blockchain Group Leader.

"The full-scale launch of the LIFULL security token issuance platform for real estate ventures, that is open to broader issuers and investors, is a tremendous accomplishment for both LIFULL and Securitize, and it validates our vision of Japan as a global leader in the adoption and development of digital securities,” said Eiji Kobayashi, Country Head, Japan at Securitize.

Key features include:

  • Regulated by the MLIT (Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism)
